California Coast in Spring
Spring comes to Southern California in winter, at least along the coast. The five-hour drive from my home in the High Desert took me through citrus groves and blooming almond trees, into the emerald green hills that looked like Ireland. Read the rest of this entry »
Yosemite Glacier Point View
Still catching up on my photo editing with these images of Yosemite from Glacier Point in early May. It is mesmerizing to watch the light change from late afternoon to early evening to sunset in a place like this. San Juan Capistrano Mission
I’ve always wanted to visit the San Juan Capistrano Mission because of the tradition of swallows returning on St. Joseph’s Day, March 19. The swallows have been missing for years, but there are attempts to lure them back. However, it is one of the most beautiful missions in California, with ruins of the original buildings, and a gorgeous basilica adjacent to the old buildings. Read the rest of this entry »
